One count of reliance To dilate the moon’s eye Owns lashes of midnight blue Orion pierces the lunar lids Lids of shadow and cloudy palls Lids of sandman rainfalls Chances are the farmhand recalls Outstretching his son to the heavens He said, “Son, let the moon’s eye Be your anchor Let it show the way to higher dreams true.” If one thing is learned on this journey If one thing remains right The moon’s eye is always there As that beacon of time and beacon of care A beacon for the large, a beacon for small A vision for one, a vision for all |
