Reflective Thoughts

No illusions in the truthfulness
of reflective thoughts that surge
and close the distance.

It is beyond time,
beyond the echoes of nearness
that draws the hidden
to be viewed in words.

When aloneness enters,
the hour glass is inverted,
repositioning my thoughts
to a yesterday, righting all wrongs
and "lighting up the darkness"

This was good, Maureen! Really good. I think I'm going to go invert my egg timer right now to see if I can get some inspiration, too -- just kidding; it was a great vehicle for showing reflective memory.
