Wide eyed passion leans toward a broken woman Tendered by a pair of kind turns Increasingly choosing to view metaphorical Inhabited by superstition in a particular place Intersecting with some other world Where not one snit of poisonous vegetation grows It is not allowed! Sweet whipped mayonnaise snuggles a brightened haze Uniformed sunlight examines the grin of long decay She, the woman, asks herself, “how many days until the next full moon?” Questions now become an enlightened habit Marking every crevice of how the world turns From just plain grandfather knowledge Autumn flowers give up their last sugary syrup Leaves already changing beyond any margin of wood There is a vast accumulation of energy Leading us right to the edge We give a lethargic gaze, thinking about looming wars The ones within us, which causes others This once broken woman finds her way to improve the world Knowing what is now required of her Fitting like the warm still air of the afternoon Which beckons us to doze now and then? And it’s ok, as long as the war within us Has been put aside, and we concentrate on the effects We so have on other lives You see, every single answer has a plan in this The world’s logic works, in life, and always has And there is indeed affinity in nature, in the rain…but The clouds soon slip away, into another land It’s not about what happens…but more so… Offering more substance, allowing it to seep in What now resides, in that once broken woman Is filling her with undirected visions, Right into the thoughts of a pilgrim And the days till the next full moon… Simply ripens with age! |
