The mountains are far away, Feet tread the road many days; Rain comes and then goes Off my wide brim flows; The swollen stream plays Over rocks that shows. I sit beside the quick stream Thoughts drift into a daydream Of flowers and lace Of another place Sadder than it seems Now gone with no trace. A penny is tossed in a wish Disturbing not even fish For there is no pool The water is cool No resting is this Torrent for a fool. I follow the water flowing To a place where it’s slowly Water calm and clear With a meadow near Where flowers growing And the spirit cheers. Gloom |

I liked the flowing thought and rhyme in this. It trickled along perfectly. It had great balance to it, a little sadness, but a calm and contentness. Looking forward to more of Double z. Sadelite |

Reminds me of the Loggins & Messina song, Watching The River Run -- liked very much! |
