She was an infant in arms with feet pat in tease until toddled in the grass A world of tables we casually looked down; a study from ants eye for little one Chair legs became spaces to squeeze within and bed sang a books lullaby Once corduroy jumper then evening gown pressed, hung in kodak Beneath the doorknob childhood washes away blue jeans fade and shrink |

Oh.. the clothes hanging - changing with age. Along with the change in our way of looking at the world. Beautiful poem. |

Very creative expression...such innocent eyes look up...and just as we see eye to eye, we realize the greatness of the small. This sure brought a smile to me. TD |

I like this, very much. That doorknob is always sticky with germs. |

Oh, today tears flow so abundantly, can't stop and your poem didn't make things better. Time passes, children grow up, live far away and all is right and in harmony with Heaven's laws and still there are moments when our hearts are in pain. In this poem you touch upon existential issues, you are so incredibly good at this! Love, Margherita |

T.D. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on this. I always appreciate your thoughts. Take care, Sadie iliana, You're right about that-they grow up too fast. (Probably not fast enough in their eyes!) Luv ya, Sis. Sadie muted, You are so kind in you compliment, muted. I appreciate it very much. Sadie Passing Shadows, Glad to hear from you again. I believe you've referenced having a daughter a couple of times. I'm wondering how old she is. (Hopefully not a senior yet, as mine is!) Take care. Sadie dingusjr., Germs on sticky doorknobs. Hm. That's an interesting thought. Perhaps I won't miss them as much! Thanks, that lends a different perspective on things! Sadie Bonnie J., It's great to hear from you again, and good to know that others have made it through transitions as such. I appreciate your reflection-thanks. Sadie Paul, "moving write here Sadie - life goes on things do change and new experiences feed new poetry - Paul" You've got me pegged, Paul. I'm stuck. I figure the writing desire will return but it's retreated for a while. Your words are very optimistic and very much appreciated. Thanks, Sadie Linda, You are so kind! I feel like I'm getting to know bits and pieces of you through your writing and responses. I hope all is going well. I'm looking forward to reading the poetry of all my internet friends here. It seems that I've been running short of time, and I miss it. Sadie Margherita, You are such a sweetheart and so sensitive-I wouldn't want you sad. I'm sending you the image of a brilliantly colored red-winged black in spring flight above a barbed wire fence. I saw this the other day and was shocked at its beauty. We've co-existed all my life, but I never saw one from just that perspective beginning its flight. Breath taking. So is it when our fledgings gain their feathers, I suppose, if we look at it from a different perspective. My thoughts are with you on this gloomy Ohio day. Take care, Sadie [This message has been edited by Sadelite (05-02-2004 05:03 PM).] |
