 Three Thoughts This, the fourth night of the last series in celebrating April – friends of friends and family members enjoying a newly ascribed poet in find…gold in the making…as my granddaughter’s golden head lays on my lap, from so many doings all month long, tired, spent, but oh, yes, a promised “promise” to next year’s April was given… so much to look forward to… ~*~ April melded me in friendship, kinship, waters on the glide, sun on the move; a few days off to visit laughter and realize fun, casting treasures into reality; what price, these moments captured in more than Kodaked frames? Who can measure thoughts transpired, when there is no weight, yet, weigh heavy in the soul, when there is so much love. ~*~ Finally, this ring. Found in those treasured moments, its topazed blue lights gleaming, it slipped on too easily, as if coming home, a long-lost piece of time finding its innate cradle; a birthstone connoting an ability to increase one’s communication skills… go figure…it is my own birthstone. Set antiqued, silver warming against my skin, it found its home. Let the writings begin. To April. To friends. To treasures. Cheers. |

New Voice award at the Caper's cafe, Not a bad ending to a pretty fine day. My grandfather had a farm on the Smoky Hill, downstream a bit, enjoyed the poetry and the picture. |
