Into the bleach of passages that fade with time
The grayer spaces wait and grin their fairest rhyme
To tally up the moments that seem grid locked in debate
To yet release their puffy seeds into the winds of fate

There is something more auspicious aloft the spirit room
Something in its echo that enfolds by sweet consume
The light above loves tavern that beckons journey made
Libation in the long shot seems to be the token paid

Where quiet once befriended now it roars a fitful rite
A struggling sonata that won’t quell the cold of night
And it comes with such compassion in the trace of but a sigh
That my heart might hear the magic in your winsome lullaby

Voices enter…voices leave through the circles in your thought
Choices banter their reprieve swallowed up in wishes sought
The amalgam set between us will not give way to the end
That my fingers cling to music as it trails minds to bend

Simply joyous in the rapture of your arms where I am found
Giving measure to the willing where such passion is unbound
And I hold the candle burning as this song fills every space
That the all of you surrounds me, so complete in its embrace
