I am the radiant smile from a child you made laugh today I am the tears from the old woman you read a letter to on your way I am the song of the birds who greet your from their trees I am the softness of the air on a hot summer night breeze I am the scent of the flowers you placed tenderly at the alter I am the hand that you held gently when you saw another falter I am the painting in the studio of the artist you don’t know I am the seeds you plant in the ground in hopes that they will grow I am through living this life in the form you knew me before So when you spend time at my resting place cry for me no more I am not lying in the ground…I have finally learned to fly I began to live immediately…you see only the body can die. I would rather my words fall upon deaf ears than a closed mind... |

and you are of a poets heart... thought you might be going in a different direction with the 'I Am' appellation -- or perhaps that is what you meant? nevertheless -- enjoyed the read and the sentiment |

I really enjoyed this read. Thank you for posting it made me think and made my day. ~Across a thousand leagues and passed the impossible, lies our childlike innocence, and in that our peace.~ |
