How can i miss something
that's already eclipsed
the beauty
of its long ago moment

resting on the
threshold of memory
softening with sunset's hues
dissipating over blinded horizons

as a dream that reopens
on its childhood promise

how can i miss something
that lays in wait for me
on my walk into the eternal
harvest
