The Riggings of My Mast

The sinews of my riggings past
Hold my sails tied down the mast
And though I renegade my mind
I cannot see beyond its bind

I stumble in the heat of bold
Stiffen in the freeze of cold
Drag my feet forever’s path
Baptize in the vacuums bath

What error grew the Eden tree?
What star will navigate for me?
What wind will blow me to my goal?
What door will open to my soul?

I flounder this abyss of rhyme
I founder in the sands of time
And cannot through the needles eye
It’s closed with tears of human sigh

Perhaps this life is not an ark?
Who can see beyond the dark?

Sy, sometimes I think all our ships are floating in the dark, but we are guided along in the light from our souls.  I much enjoyed this introspective journey...~S~

You know what?
I want to be able to
keep questioning things
as long as you have
been able to...

WANNA BET????
