Throat sounds perceived by a group of folk
emanates from a pond animal that croaks,
a magic bar rubs its spiny back
and faithful sound knows no slack...

In the chinese village a collector rubbed
the spines of toads perfectly scrubbed,
from tiny to large their pitch would vary
curious tourists would watch and tarry...

or select Ranidae to make a switch
examine the rod that elicits the pitch
the sound depends on the bulk of the watery creature
the larger frog has a pronounced accoustic feature..

tinier ones elicit a sharper croak
pocket of air expands under cloak,
from tiny to large a pitch would vary
curious visitors would stop to tarry...

Martin, I found this to be a fascinating poem and, as a result, did some research on the net.  Were these the bones of the frogs in some cermonial type music or were these live ones?  Just curious.  Enjoyed.

the sound? might be from some ceremonial variety for the frog's sake at least...
