Lost Intentions

It's only a walk away, there
where the start of a day
brings the sunshine and the warmth
of nature's touch to my body,
to my eyes, dare I take the chance.

So I walk my thoughts, there
where the silence doesn't scream
and I can feed upon existence
without expectations of answers
that treat time without importance.

Laid out before me, the springing of earth,
the recharging of life, energy to flush out
the poisons of a yesterday that
left me thirsty for reason and an aftermath
feeling secondhand.
