Clotted tears shroud a fretful torture Crumbled life, ardent screams of fear Where flourishes the golden fruit? When lovers dare not draw near Full life comes to fire Having sweetened things admire Embers burning as God’s wing Where I write your name on spring I’ve searched every room for countenance And you Shaping human patience with bare hands Planting increments of mystic language Between flesh of spirit and turbulent Why should I dare to hear the rain? I won’t! But of love and night and day Where flesh quivers from blossoms saved Love…oh pretty thoughts of everlasting face Youth sings to quiet men Adorning some earthly aquarium I fan the fire like a poet’s dream Praying Darting from the crunch of death’s feet There are overemphasized census Encroachments of mixed estimates But I insist on a closer union Learning One contrasted with compatible fusions Incapable of knowing any breakers mass We will re right to share the fruits The taste of sea-green oceans I smell your smiles Know your weariness and devotions We will allow the wind Recognize no place where men are lost Find me in the elements I’m yours Where orchards yield and show An easy breeze |
