Lying Eyes
By Paul Wilson

Your eyes will betray you
like many times before
I stare deeply into them
searching for love and more

You come into my life
and leave when you want to
Never caring about
the hurt you put me thru

Our love seems like a
one way mirror
I’m always on the outside
trying to bring you nearer

You never return my love
that I give freely to you
I play your games each day
just so I can be near you

Your eyes are like a trap
waiting for it’s prey
Calling me to come closer
i’m unable to turn away

Your eyes will betray you
but what can I do
I’m lost in their spell
and will always love you

Amazing isn't it....the loyal devotion of
one and the uncaring attitude of the other.
Thank you Paul.

It doesn't seem quite fair does it?  My experience says that it comes back that person later, sometimes years later.  Then, you'll have the choice how to react.  I bet you'll be kind.  Enjoyed this,

Once I was in the same situation, until the last time, when he called me from his gals home, intentionally, just to let me know.  How mean and cruel...makes you really wonder why and how a person can hate that much.  God bless you...there is an old saying...you will continue to love your last love, until someone else comes and sweeps you off your feet, but like I wrote a friend this morning, have yet to meet that man, who knows how to use a broom properly. hehehehhehe

Sending lotsa hugs.

Leej...Thanks for your kind words. I should explain, this poem was just something that came to me, it is fictional for me, but real for so many others. I appologize if you were mislead. Your reply was very heartfelt and I thank you for it...Paul

Marge...Thanks dear friend. Now if I could live up to your words about versatility I would be fine...I appreciate you taking the time too read.Paul

Serenity...All is well my friend. I've been keeping a low profile lately. Work takes up most of my time and when I'm not working I'm cutting grass or dodging raindrops. How was your 4th? Thanks for the read...Paul
