Broken Fences

Harsh words reverberating on silent walls.
Broken hearts and shattered dreams.
How do we mend the torn fences of yesterday?
No longer,ā€œIā€™m sorry,ā€ is believed.
Too much pain, too much sorrow,
too many saddened memories.
How to begin again?
Trust broken scattered in the wind.
To many angry words
passing through the portals of
a once treasured relationship called love.
With broken wings
How do we fly to the
stars and capture
that once fiery enchantment,
that wonderment called
love?
Do we begin anew?
Can we forget the past and begin a new future?
Can we struggle past the pain and mistrust?
Was our past built on a strong foundation
or
was it made on a foundation
of crumbling clay?
Only the gods can foresee our future,
our destiny.
Only time will tell
If we are able to mend
our broken fences and build a
new foundation
of
undying love.

Love BonBon

That is a question I have been asking myself, during the past few days. I'm so glad I stopped to read this handsome poem, because it gives me part of what I've been seeking.

Very thought provoking, indeed.  It takes two people working full time for always to make it really right along with some help from providence, I think.  Best wishes and hugs sent your way.   .....jo

Fences can be mended, but it takes a lot of work and sometimes new lumber.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
