Yes....this country exists once and once only, in all of time. What we have can't be regained if it's taken away, and every day is a chance to lose it.

We, in our neighbouring countries, are so fortunate to be "born free! ~ as free as the wind blows."

We have a great deal to be thankful for on our national days of celebration! ~ Canada Day (July 1) and the 4th of July!

"difficult to defend"; I suppose I should first look at my actions as a citizen.  Sometimes, the word defend implies military action, but I think it is more... our tiny actions add up.  However, without those in the military, we'd never have gained  our liberty. Their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their families and friends are the ultimate.  They are greatly appreciated.
Have a safe and happy 4th.
  Enjoyed this...

Having served myself I can say that it gave me an insight like no other to hold those that went before us in great reverence. WONDERful, Sis
