I Remember

I look for you in the evenings
a noticable absence from my care
I see you in the distance
upon the crest of the ocean's salty fair
I hear you in the whisper of the
water as it reaches for the sands
and I slip as I long to touch you
where the foam of water lands
No time is like the present
  elusive to our being
No sadness there can measure
the loss of any living thing
and so I  wait for you in the evening
while the ocean breeze moves to and fro
and the sand recedes beneath my feet
  letting memories soothe my soul

SimplyGold: This made me cry. You can feel the emotions so strong....it is so very bitter-sweet. Great Poem!!

SimplyGold, This was so very lovingly phrased and gentle as an ocean breeze, and so true.

~ Not only have I been missing you personally, I've been missing poetry such as this by you! Wondrously poetic!

Great to read you again, SG!
