Sneaking around the corner

Fall rehearses,

as leaves that tango
on august breezes
succumbing as they dance
into the midnight hours,

in evergreens that line
the farmer's fields,
touching shoulders,
trees of jesus,

fall rehearses,

as summertime siestas
caught offguard,
impulsive and carefree

gawky weeds that stray
on roads to the unexpected,

wild eyed innocence

life of the child.

Oh Michele, this was gloriously beautiful, could not help but think of the absolutely beautiful weather we've been having here in PA, not to hot, not to cold, no humidity, pleasingly cool at night, wow!

Anyway, lovely poem, thank you for the warm thoughts.
