You always wore that hat. The off-white sun viser. Inside outside In the rain In the sun When it was windy Or when it was not. There was white when you took it off. A place where the sun did not touch. But still, you were... wonderfull, or even beatiful. It had to been your smile Or maybe your gentle charm. -Juju Some more charector sketches for you all. |

Touching poem. It's those subtle things you cherish the most and miss the most. My wife once told me that if I passed on things like my ball caps, hats, boots, flannels, she would keep them all. I guess it's kind of like smelling my sons blanket when I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks. Things like the hat in your poem are attributes we take in on a personal level trying to absorb a piece of them into us. Strange phenomenon. We don't really talk about it but we all do it. You write about it very well here. I appreciate it. It makes me think about those subtle things I cherish in my wife and loved ones. Warm regards, Kevin |
