Trim the wick and light the light
Mangos & grapes dance delight
Clusters of woman, like us grew
Traveling their course blatant with truth

Search carefully who you are
On golden grasses we count the hours
From were did we think victory great?
We pass our spheres to hero’s fate

Upon self-denial, death became, so liberty shall live
What men grew from unwitting looks impatient?
Do you believe any thing lives upon a moment?
Walk abreast with time, space and prudence

To affect is all the past and futures be
Substances of life becomes our truest offerings
Matching every thought or act with correlatives
Reaching masses of souls our sight of endless wisdom

In voice surpassing all forth which rhyme
Following who favors body and souls the same
Knows forgiveness in life and loss
To penetrate the inner most lore of song

Trim the wick and light the light
From hence becomes the darkest nights
Calling not on past or down-drafted clouds
Lessons learned cleave brave our destinations loud

We’re free, sailing on a liquid soft
Fates trials sure our tests oft
How we gaze through windows pulent
Swiftly bending round…absorbing life so dearly intimate

sooo...
Light the Light magnificant...

To pick a phrase or line would be to hole the dyke. I'd rather the ocean be held back.
Enjoyed

Seymour is probably right, but one particular verse really hit the chord with me:
"Trim the wick and light the light
From hence becomes the darkest nights
Calling not on past or down-drafted clouds
Lessons learned cleave brave our destinations loud"

so much wisdom and optimism pacied in those lines...  Thank you,

"Do you believe any thing lives upon a moment?"

Bravery...poetry...and moments shared in between. Exalted thoughts poetess. Your visions light so many paths.
