In the sky waiting hanging silent and shy the sun tries to hide behind passing clouds scared to look down and suffer the crowd soon to arise and confuse a sane mind. In timid repose it looks over the edge like a spy in the field of espionage undressed and divested of camouflage parts the leaves of a fully grown hedge. Everyone sleeps or so the sun thought afraid to awake in the course of a life or open a window to a timeless mind holding inside great wisdom untaught. But down on the ground behind a brick wall and locked in a dungeon of self control there simmers a need like hot burning coals to draw in the light and experience more. From the deep mystery of life came a bolt and shattered the wall into many a part. The sun took pity, showed a true heart, then proceeded to rise in protective revolt. The sun on the run looked back one day and chided itself for allowing the feel of innate beauty not meant to be seen by a need in the grate of human dismay. The sun, the sun; how so much like love to run and hide in the clouds up above! [This message has been edited by Honeybunch (06-28-2004 03:33 AM).] |

Honeybunch, this is an amazing write. So far, I've read it twice. But, it's going to the library for further reading. ![]() |

Thank you, jo - it's always an honour to be in a "library". Thanks, passing shadows. I wonder what will happen when there are no clouds to hide behind. Will we prosper or shrivel and die? |
