Tomorrow Mayhap Tomorrow mayhap I will smile anew, And these ill shadows will haunt me no more, To heartache and sorrow I’ll bid adieu, Yea my own necessities I’ll explore. Tomorrow mayhap your image will fade, ‘Til it’s merely an unfocused likeness, ‘Tis then I’ll be free from this masquerade— —This dishonesty of yours for excess. Tomorrow mayhap I will know true love, And my days will be honeysuckle sweet, Perhaps I will then walk paths undreamt of, And disregard I was once incomplete. Tomorrow nonetheless is not today, For I’m still holding thee in this essay. Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history! |

When you least expect it life takes a turn and sends you hurling into the sunshine that may have been hidden for many a day. This poem has a touch of bittersweet sadness, but also lovely. See Ya BonBon |

I really enjoyed this. Mayhap, I had forgotten such a term. Nicely done. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
