Today, the love stopped, the earth stood still, the rain poured down, No beats beating, from the drum of her heart, the crowd came from all over town, A life born, lived, no breath breathes out, cold she becomes, Where warmth she gave, love made her live, hope allowed her to give, for hope of being with the one, Her soul still crys for you, underneath the muddy dirt, and yet she still waits, So sad, so sad, that in death , only could she love you, for her, love was never too late, Freedom came today, her soul now free to love you, after years of waiting, The package, the box, all that is left, reminders of love, tear-stained love letters torn and worn, Gifts of love, romantic music, all throughout the years, You were her thoughts, She talked of you, in soft spoken whispers, always with a smile, graced upon her lips, Your love kept her alive, each year she would pull out the box, read the letters and cry, View the photos, smell the rose, clutch her chest, her heart, as if she was going to die, The box was her treasure, filled with so many things, the box kept her hopes, her dreams alive, But today, she died, as she took her very last breath, she did so with a smile...and said, I am happy now, I can be free to love him, my soul with his soul, my love with his love, For in death there is life, and in life there is death, and then she closed her eyes at rest, The box remains underneath her bed, although she has passed, her love is not dead, Her love still waits, haunting your soul, she still waits, forever loving you... laying inside her box.... Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH |
