Summer Alarm My summer alarm clock sits outside my window I don’t set it I guess Old Sol does. Right before dawn, which is a little after four in these parts this time of year it goes off. Caw! Caw! Caw! different from the Raven, instead of “Nevermore” it is evermore singing (?) Caw! Caw! Caw! in rhythm with the universal clock tick tock. Perhaps he says, “It’s cool, come out, you lazy fool! The day’s begun; come have some fun. Get up and grab your tool!” I rise without surprise, rub the sleep out of my eyes grab a cup and a pen in recliner nestle in. Do the comics;do the puzzles have a nanner;coffee guzzle. That’s the way to start my day after all, summer has no pay. ©June 25, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

This is much fun and gifted me a smile. Thanks. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
