Hush little girl Hush little girl Daddy is gone, and the world doesn't turn right now. Don't you cry Don't you cry time spins on, and you die a little more, everyday. And if you hold on, I'll hold on to you. If you let go then I'll carry you through, little girl. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree. LeeJ, that basically was what it was written for... A good friend of mine lost her dad not long ago, and I knew Father's day would be hard for her... so I wrote this. Never actually gave it to her, but it was written to soothe and keep away some pain. Thank you for your reply Dix, I knew this one would hit you... Jo, What a compliment! Thank you! Since I wrote it about someone else I wanted it to have a sincere and positive ending, but not one that would disregard the pain they were in. Larry, you're one of the daddy's that means not everyone needs to have this pain, so don't cry... just be what you are. thank you so much for replying...Cathy, my daddy is still around, and I thank God for that, despite that lately we've.. well.. we have our differences.
