A small milestone for me.  I don't know that I've ever gone over 200 posts in a forum.  It must be that you're all a great group of people.  Thanks for the warm welcome.  I thought it fitting to share a poem about the one who was my greatest milestone of all.  Enjoy...

Amidst the Dancing Grass

As the sun basks me in all of it effervescent light
I find myself lost in this field's sweet grass
bedecked in the painted radiance of beauty's bloom.

As I wander through opulence,
I am courted by this emerald ocean dancing to and fro'
beckoning me to waltz amidst the fragrance of life.

But, there I find substance beyond their ethereal dance.
The fragrant scent of her essence washes over me.
Thieved away by her alluring decension from Heaven;
fragrance of life no longer bides here in emerald solace.

The pristine dance of the grass, now, a fleeting memory
as I stand immersed in love's absolution;
utterly awash in her sweet rapture.

Her celestial image rises before me
as the sun kneels before the darkening sky
hune with violet and the embers of the weary day.

And as this day finally slips beyond my surrendering grasp
I am left with the stars she has so eloquently painted
with her delicate touch of deft abundance.

I see her there, in the midst of her evening's chore,
oblivious to my coveting gaze.
Steadfast hold my feet have on the ground beneath me.

Never in want of retreat or advance, but ever longing
to stay there amidst the emerald dance
gripped by the serenity of her image
courting the silver light.

To be grounded and lifted at the same time is special, admirable of anyone that inspires such moments. Much enjoyed. Nice to meet you Kevin.

Breathtaking in its beauty and delicacy.  I think she is very lucky as well, to have one love her as this.  And one who can express it in such eloquence.  The imagery produces a *sigh*.  Ah, the romance, it makes a woman's heart melt.  Does she read and enjoy these beautiful love writes?

Best to you -- Susan

Yes, you have found heaven on earth and it shows when you write of your family and wife!  Congrats on 200!  Amazing place, this is, isn't it!
