Epiphany or Dream? Not spiritual in essence Yet glowing in effervescence Truth is swelling inside But its presence a’ glide As the moisture in dew Felt, yet not seen or new Which foot first, left or right Confusion of dreams my plight Who shall I say it is? What shall I say it is? Epiphany or Dream? A man with only one shoe Presence in mind with you As the flame of a candle Fluttering in the wind a’ shamble Not to question, nor to know Dried tears sparkle and glow As a lens out of focus Or where wild crocus grow Unfettered yet anchored and a’ gird Where one dreams, and floats as a bird. The epiphany of a dream or a dream of an epiphany? Are we the sane, or insane? Are the insane, sane? Epiphany, a dream, maybe the same? |

JL, Your mind is much deeper than mine. I could read this a hundred times and see more each time. I wonder what triggered this... Enjoyed, but stumped. I keep coming back to the man with one shoe on and one shoe off. It reminds me of Diddle Diddle Dumpling My Son John and also of a story my kids read about a hungry barefoot Chinese man resting in the streets during the Chinese New Year Celebration. In this story, the children spent their leises, lucky money, on the hungry man. Does the one shoe on mean that he's almost ready to journey. Fill me in a little more-I'm curious. Sadelite |

I like your work, it's delightful with wonderful imagery. Continue writing because it's so worth reading. "love me, fear, do as I say, and I will be your slave." Jareth in the labryinth (David Bowie) |

Had to come back and applaud your write once more. Truly the reflections can be confusing, but the stimulation of pulse and heart always knows. Smiles, TD |

"Epiphany or Dream" ~ That is the question! Perhaps the answer is the former. Intriguing write! EA |

Hi JL...Good Morning your rights are outa my league...and that wasn't a typo I think they are or can be the same...I liked a lot, this one is like a tongue twister of the mind...which I know you love to do so much...big smiles...hmmm lets see...the man with one shoe is a man who is coming into focus on some issues? Maybe? Outstanding very much enjoyed! |
