The Difference

Each person sees words differently
Experience it seems the key
So I would find a common store
To pave the streets my poets floor

And they are few and far between
To mine the physics of each scene
And mortar them to laces true
To make a shawl that warms you through

Common is a subtle tool
It has no bind it has no rule
It plays a field of egos green
That is uncommon in each scene

They sing a sound like birds in song
Like bells that call the evening throng
Like circles run an outward chime
They make a rhyme of changing time

And satisfy a moments end
As rivers flow around a bend

Walking barefoot upon your wisdom's floor ...
feet of clay know the way to your dragon's door.

People come & go in our lives but the memories & poetry remain...
Of lessons learned, things held in respect, among them is engraved your name.

Wonderful wonderful morning read Sy!
Much enjoyed.
~Morning hugs, Nancy~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

The difference is what you make, Sir.  Your perpetual river of inspiration always astounds me.

The difference is you Sir Sy!   You ARE a true poet.

A wonderful poem, one that I'd expect from you. It's good to read you again after so long.

Good morning, Sir Tumbleweed!

And the "difference" with you, Sweet Sonneteer, is indeed "experience" ~ lots and lots of experience!

Mornin' hugs,
