Between the Lines

Overwhelmed,
the thoughts are jumbled
bumping into one another,
images overlapping
half dreams, half nightmares, while
the clock ticks off the seconds until
a hand wakes me up with its repetitive shrill.

Another warning of a new day...
looking forward to nothing.

Ah Maureen...I know these kinds of nights..
Things are so difficult for you right now..
but please try to find one bright spot in each day.

Maureen,
Recently I've identified with what you're saying, but am getting through it.  Normally I am an indoor person, just doing what needs to done.  Last week, I started spending time outdoors, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, etc.  It lent me a different perspective on things.  Perhaps, if you haven't done this, it might be refreshing.
Good luck to you. Those half dreams and nightmares are worse than having none, so it seems.   I enjoyed your writing very much.

I've been in that place and you have described it perfectly! It's hell! But I flew out of there like a bat out of hades!

Whew! Through your illustrious writing, you sure have a way of recreating the good, the bad, and the ugly in my own life!

It sounds like that trip south is just what you need right about now! Hope it does the trick, Dear M!
