Rappin’ out Tolerance and Appreciation of differences.  Alls good when written with inspired intent.  I'm a socialist poet.  I believe in poetry for and by the masses.  Poetry is written of the heart, not always necessarily with literary art.

Thus my little ditty, which some might say is a little bit kiddy, but I think it’s kind’a witty.  (big smile here)

So you don’t eat beef?

No never, not a bit.
It’s not my idea of where it is.
Veggies, now that’s my thing.
Veggies makes a Vegan sing.

No Peas for you?

Excuse me, but eat something green?
Heaven forbid, that’s obscene.
Make it red and juicy, dripping over the spit
Boy, I’ll tell, you that’s where it is!

Pardon me, you two, but may I say
Like beef or veggies, either way
There is no right, no perfect fit
Everyone’s taste differs a bit

It’s all good if done just right,
But who’s to say what I like is right.
I don’t eat steak, but I wouldn’t say
That all steak eaters are full of hay.

Come on now people, let’s give a bit
Not everything is a perfect fit.
Look for the beauty in your neighbor’s hood
And you’ll be sure to see the good.

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Great poem, Susan.  Actually, I think this is becoming quite a social issue in some areas.  Very cute and witty, but a very valid point!   .....jo

Good haha morning to you, Dear Socialist Poet!

"I don’t eat steak, but I wouldn’t say
That all steak eaters are full of hay."
~ This literally cracked me up!!! LOL

"Come on now people, let’s give a bit
Not everything is a perfect fit.
Look for the beauty in your neighbor’s hood
And you’ll be sure to see the good."
~ This deserves a socialistic "Amen"!

Fun read from a fun gal! ~ with a social conscience!

~ Have a marvellous day!

Off the beaten path yet still quite exquisite and fun.  You could make eating cat poop sound pleasant.  You simply write gold, Susan.  Keep on writing.
