Tall the man as words now lingered on ears that did not wish to hear. Her love now lost, he remembered from times now past, almost a year. She came upon a rain filled night into this place of tears and beer. Her needs were seen, in smoke filled light this stranger offered her his ear. Her eyes spoke of her lack of trust the wait for a cheap pick up line Would he go for broke and then bust dejected, rejected, and resigned. Tall the man as words now lingered His ring line worn into his hand A weary well for not belingered His leathered skin hard worked and tanned She let his speech flow from the corners Cob webbed rafters once great beams And sipped a goblet's shade red borders To find her truth within his dreams And as they laughed was reconciled Two for two, ships passed the night Within his eyes her fears defiled Within her heart the path of right To him she sat upon a throne where queens did reign a knightly force. She filled his thoughts, just her alone a soothing balm from pains divorce As shoals were skirted and behind they sailed into the night as two A tall man gentle and refined Emotions filled their sails anew And as the jukebox softly played of strangers in the night he smiled For her he would not have betrayed This tall man standing free....not wild. Unclear what beckoned thought had sent her Though cautiously she walked inside To hear this sonnet on her enter A tall man's linger she replied [This message has been edited by Magnus (06-14-2004 03:49 PM).] |

My Dear Friend... We write the long tall versions of most everything, and in the recipe is always the higher ground. Thoroughly enjoyed creating and sharing with you here on the blue. Thanks Mag. TD |

Enjoyed the ambience of this, it's as if I sit in the Pub with them. Susan The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart. |

Susan, thanks, was a pleasure to have you along for the ride. Kathy, there are never enough words to express the enjoyment of composing a piece of a story with you. It has become easier over the two plus years that we have been writing together. May our ink wells never run dry!!! |
