False God ships, loaded with yard-yak Birth and land, vomiting Plastic flamingoes And tin bar-b-ques...people gather To worship the deities merchandise, Who opens church each week-day morning; With plastic they tithe, trading futures For new-cheap-instant, American dreams. * At night, sodium torches burn Lighting the way to openings That close downtowns across the nation. Plywood, is at a premium, needed To board up Ma's and Pa's, while their enemies ships Cut deep wakes and their planes drone on, Bearing trash Of poor nation, dollar a day laborers Putting old stores and craftsmen out of business; Draining blood from little league sponsors, While the Bushes and Reagan's praise Sam Walton. * Being blinded by full parking lots And false prosperity, other towns (Out of easy reach by s.u.v.) build effigies Of Gods that bless with ideal prices. Build buildings built of concrete straw To house unnesasarys regurgitated from steel warehouse- eighteen wheelers, that make their lives dangerous. * Other inhabitant-natives learn not Lessons from tribal neighbors, still worship blindly At the alter of ever expanding economies; With mind-sets that further unsettle America. * In the sacked towns, some merchants survive. Stores of convenience, sell gasoline and twinkies; Street drugs and porn are not found at Target, Home depot, Sams Club or Wal-Mart.... By their storefront windows, surge the demon cargoes And the shop-keeps tip their capital hats, Still faithful to their false-Gods promises. |

Oh my as well and rightfully so. A Very Intense Read...but Ice...I don't think all is hopeless, and hope that all who read this will indeed wake up. The re-conditioning of our minds over the past 40 years has been very depressing, and yet, and I firmly believe, it is all about the loss of education. Thank you for writing and sharing. |

(big angel hugs) Yay! Oh Ford, I have missed you soooooooo very much! I just moved to Portland, Oregon and I am sooooo sorry I haven't gotten to write to you in a while, as you are a wonderful friend to me and to talk to! (sad sigh) This is precisely one of the main reasons I moved to Portland actually! Portland and much of Oregon respects so much the diversity of their retail and media (8 cable access channels here! ) and the whole beach is open to the public, so there is no privatizing of the beach in Oregon, nor the ma-and-pa businesses up and down the coast! (sad sigh) I wish the whole rest of the nation could be like Oregon and flourish with cute little kite stores, salt water taffy shacks and hand-woven clothes and textile outlets than with avarice conglomerates like Wal-Mart and Abercrombie & Finch and Lockheed Martin and Helliburton (oh, did I say that, I meant Halliburton, LOL!) I pray our regime change succeeds here and we can find some new leadership that can retrograde us back to the golden age of diversity, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |

Ice -- I have similar concerns, but don't think it's hopeless. There are an awful lot of us who are not bought and paid for, I think. Very moving write. |
