This popped into my head as I was listening to music. The idea would not go away so I decided to write it down. Hope you enjoy the SHADOW DANCE. Love BonBon Shadow Dance Sitting listening to easy sounds Words of love and forgiveness float about the room Relaxing in a chair, head back, eyes beginning to close A coolness brushes my cheek Eyes open in a languid state A stately Shadow tips his hat and gently bows Holds out his hand coaxing me to come join him in the Shadow Dance. I feel the magic beneath my feet As we swirl around the room in a titillating dance of love and questioning intrigue. I feel my heart beating to the rhythm of the music The Shadow holds me near I can hardly breathe I feel his cooling breath upon my cheek, nibbling gently upon my ear, tongue trailing down my neck. I awake with a start The music has stopped I gaze into the dimly lit room As my dream begins to fade My friendly Shadow begins to disappear into the corners of darkness But before he completely fades away he turns tips his hat and gently bows and is no more. I lay my head back and say to myself It’s just a dream My imagination running into tired restlessness Whoever heard of dancing with a Shadow and doing a Shadow Dance?  |
