Night Magic Hidden amongst layered drapes of velvet That wrap the night in deep hues of blue They dance about in joyous abandon Amongst the settling drops of dew They are daughters of the moon Illuminated by its breath pale light Beauteous as fairies of the evening mist Ethereal and Fair and Bright Their hearts are filled with lunar magic Bursting forth as if a solar flare Cascading in a rain of shimmering starlight Drawing other ethereal creatures near And they frolic amongst the draping ferns As if impish little sprites Laughter rings as singing wind chimes A stirring Nocturne embracing night The stars above waltz and wink Inspired by the dream sired tunes And even I believe I hear a sigh Softly sounded by their mother Moon Then when wearied by their night born fete Of reveling in the gift of life and breath They lay their heads upon petals soft Wrapped in the arms of a new dawn’s rest S.A.T. The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart. |
