o gentle spirit, wafted soft on sacred breath
linger not for fleeting moments
when scurried instants flee in haste—
refresh me with thy simple pausing
rush me to thy havened side

lose me in thy complete fulfillment
usher thoughts of warmth and love
teach abiding ever presence
in thy nestled arms survive—
in thy soul my heart doth thrive

gentle spirit, let me love thee
as thy love’s to me supplied
