Sometimes, as we grow and evolve, we have to say good-bye to old companions (emotions) that no longer fit into our evolution. And yet, for all their negative impact, letting go what has once been so much a part of you can almost be -- painful?Do you understand? Thus, Saying Good-bye: Saying Good-bye . . . It doesn’t come easy. I’ve grown used to your company. You’ve traveled with me over many a year Always there when I felt uncertain Stepping up close Taking hold of my hand Question is, can I manage without you? Strangely enough, I don’t want to say good-bye. Must I? Yes.Yes I must. It is for the best . . . this parting. For in truth, Your companionship only holds me back You keep me from becoming complete You exist only for my failure Leave. Yes, leave. We are done, you and I. Pass quickly out the door, Before I beg you to return, Allowing me once again to be secure . . . in insecurity. S.A.T. The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart. |
