The Unknown Where did she go, the youthful me With future tantalizingly Awaiting in the wings And made of wondrous things? Her fate so gloriously concealed, Its wonders yet to be revealed Anticipated eagerly; Disclosed in stages, meagerly. Love, given, snatched too soon away, And precious son who could not stay To cheer declining years. Abiding joy, unending tears. Gone with the years, the youth and zest Of she who yet must pass the test Of life, when lived unsparingly In joy and sorrow, daringly. God in his wisdom sheltered her From knowledge of that which would occur On a full life's unopened pages. As women before, throughout the ages Without a doubt or hesitate, Have gone headlong, to meet their fate. By: Joyce 6/10/04 |

Excellent, Joyce. Thank God that He doesn't let us know what is in the future, but instead gives us the strength to do what we need to right now... “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |
