Pleased I am, afterthoughts shaping years Cherished memorabilia, intimate souvenirs Belonging slow passions widen Thoughts staring at unnoticed heartbeats Like sunbeams freezing upon undressed skin Humanity’s reflective place and pastime Lover’s ears do not retire Timeless love weds Blue skies hover our island Clear sea of thoughts Freelance landlords Orange moons peeping through forest trees There was a difference you and me In you, for you, with you I wanted to be there, regardless Now instead of you It is only me, and afterthoughts... shaping years |
