Scene 1 – A woman speaks

Please love me, pretty please,
I’m sweet and kind and good
and tend my little sweet peas
whether bushed or trailing free
with passion and with care
for their tender hearted stems.

I talk to them, I do,
and whisper “I love you”
from morn until the cows
jump over the moon.

I tell them all my secrets,
I haven’t signed with F.B.I.
and the C.I.A. I know
wouldn’t have me if I prayed.

I talk to my sweet peas,
I’m sweet and kind and good
so won’t you love me, pretty please,
and tend my sweet peas too?

Scene 2 – Another woman speaks

When I was a child,
I was just like you
but now that I’m an adult,
I wish you’d grow up too!!

LOL...either you're hungry, or you know the birds will be swooping soon as those peas are edible!

I thought it was cute, m'dear, but I could be missing something.

Thanks all! I certainly know that I'm missing something but it's probably not the same thing that you're all missing which must be the point of this little ditty no doubt. I guess it's only relevant to one who knows but me vent? Never! I just smile sweetly.

Sweet peas of the floral variety are my very favorite..and it used to be my nickname as a child. I'll help you tend them.

I guess this one is confusing but thanks for the offer Martie. I'm not the one with the sweet peas and icebox I've learnt never to be too sure about anything in this life.
