Souls for Sale No Credit Don’t believe what you hear about nightlife. Come a quarter of two all the edges turn blue and you’re adrift with the Johns and the Jims. I’ll tell you the truth about nightlife: laughter fades like old scars when they empty the bars and the red neon stutters and dims. I’m a born-again child of the nightlife, I glitter and shine like a dream dipped in wine and I sing sad old whiskey-soaked hymns. Don’t get caught in that honey-trap, nightlife; it’s a whisper, a sigh, a guitar-lullaby, and will crush you to make plastic gems. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Where the he## have you been? This is a LEGEND of a poem. I think it needs ONE more line though... anyways, just my opinion, Collen |

Nan -- how I love this gem of a poem. In my early 30s I saw a lot of that lifestyle and reached the same conclusion. ...jo |
