If I Happen To Cross Your Mind

Knowing me inside and out
You never needed a clue
Within every poem I penned
My heart I opened for you

Whatever was upon my mind
I always expressed openly
By sharing you in my thoughts
You became special to me

Supportive words exchanged
Letters shared intimately
Heartfelt messages were met
We had friendship harmony

Wondering if you ever ponder
The fond memories I recall
Whenever my heart joined you
I gave my best and gave it all

Hoping my thoughts still count
As I continue reaching out
If I happen to cross your mind
You knew me inside and out

funny...just last night, he told me after 9 years he didn't know me as well as he thought he did...(brought about by something I said I liked, that he apparently had no clue of)
