Of Wail and Wind

The wind wails passions of ferment
Fills the sails to ripping strain
Tears the lashings in lament
Bulging sails to varicose vein

And thunder sends horrendous pound
Drumming on my mental core
Silencing the tearing sound
With flashing streaks of evermore

It is a storm beyond my cope
A holocaust of time and wend
No brake within the dark for hope
It brings me prayers and thoughts of end

And though I stay on crest of wave
My guiding star is gone of view
I can’t let down a life of brave
Nor can I steer my soul to blue

My ship is caught a paradox
I feel I’m in Pandora’s box.

"Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars much too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night".

That box gets tight, Sy...
but sometimes it does seem
a safe haven, as well...
such is the paradox.

Good morning, Mr. T.!

~ May wind whip passion in thy sail
May thunder make you strong and hale.
May storms make way for skies of blue
May all your dreams come true for you
May starlight guide you on your way
  And sunshine brighten every day.

Earth Angel,
Well if that don't keep me on the straight and narrow, nothing will.

WEll now, Sy, I truly believe should I dare to open Pandora's box, you are not who I would find there.

You have woven your words quite rhythmically!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Dark write, you?  Well, I feel it, too, but am going to ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist.  To tell you the truth, my jaw dropped when I read this exquisite expression of my own feelings (of yesterday).   ....jo
