on the way to next world

Is this something you lean on
family allowance to look upon
support relieves nurses in a hospital tent
where's the auxiliary medic who came and went?

Support is closer to you than you think
optician's chart that has eyes blink;
in the way that families get a monthly stipend
space crews get fuel loads on which to depend.

Does it come from some heavely source up above
foreshadowed by morning visits of a ringed white dove?
Or does this depend on the sweat of my brow
the earnings I make and the expenses to allow.

Something to lean on for support
verbiage for an argued retort,
dependance relies on help that arrives
independence gives us the will to survive.
