Silvery Quill

As I dip my silvery quill into the well of my thoughts.
I wonder where will my imagination take me today.
As my pen strikes a pose.
A sunbeam flickers a breath
of
warmth through the silent room.
Inviting my thoughts to come out and play.
“Come!”
The sunbeam whispers with tinkling laughter.
Take this highway on your canvas of white.
We’ll travel down country roads or maybe stroll by the sea.
Maybe we’ll travel back in time an enter a snow covered forest.
In this forest an old wooden cabin.
Sparks flying from the chimney and the sweet aroma
of
cinnamon and vanilla fill the air.
Shall we open the door and inspect what is inside?
Light laughter fills the air and says.
“Another time.”
As we move away we see a young woman standing with tears tumbling
down
from her soft brown eyes.
We turn and in the splattering of ink-
We are on a pitching ship as a tidal wave splashes over the deck.
We are falling, falling, screaming,
awakening in a valley
of
flowers and babbling brooks.
My silvery quill is on the move.
Now let us see where we will travel today.
The wind is raging, a tree being uprooted.
Hel- .................!

Hugs
BonBon

The sights the smells and the sounds of this poem bring the imagery to life...A joy to read...

BonBon, I really enjoyed the travels of your pen -- (kind of made me think of the roaming nome....hehehe, just kidding).  I really appreciate the lightness of your quill's stroke!   ...jo
