I dream
in green now,
though life and love, lust and liberty
color my world;

I dream in green.

All colors surround me,
I wear black
to define edges;
but I
dream in green;

under blue, over rose, highlights
of white in display of ray;
sun-glints in pray;
life time’s array;
earth toned in way of play,
yes,

I

dream in green…

with an underlining line
skipping rope,

hope.

I dream green.

This poem.....

It's my fifth visit and I still don't know what to say. This poem affected me....down inside, where it counts. So ardent, so intense, so vulnerable, so honest, so hopeful....there aren't enough so's....

Occasionally I print out a poem and lay it on the desk in front of my computer screen for a week or so....then I can read it any time I feel the need...this will be one of them.
