Questioning the Inanimate

It is just a log
For holding the gate open
I see its spirit

On the patio
Like a watching dog at rest
It casts a shadow

Seen from the corner
Where my eye finds slanted time
It is something else

Where my eye finds slanted time

Ah... so that's how you see! *S* And your words let us see, too... *S* I look at things differently because of you. *S*

Beautiful work!!

When we look from slanted eye
our sight takes on some visions
Our mind plays tricks with what we see
It cannot make decisions.

Nice job.  Ken

Martie,
Very powerful thoughts come from the inanimate... You proved this well!!! I very much enjoyed the perspective.

Martie, I wish that I could write what I see from
"the eye of slanted time" the way that you write.

yes Martie it is indeed something, it may be just a log to hold the gate open, but it is doing what it was put there to do eh?

Great imagery here...as always you please

There is spirit in everything that lives or has life...for those with the inner eye to see it. You've told me you don't have it, but I know you do.
