Reality and “Who Knows?” Have you ever talked with someone That seemed to know your heart? Or chatted at a coffee shop With one so far apart? Of course you know you’re married and further you’ll not go. But wouldn’t it be nice just once To feel that secret glow? You’d not be one to wander out Nor urge on something snide What if you had a loving friend That you’d hide away inside? No one would ever know about This little flame you carry, A “just someone to think about” When life’s a little scary. There is a place in all of us That’s not quite off the wall But offers up safe harbor if our world’s about to fall. It might not ever happen, friend This scene and how it goes Myself I put it right between Reality and “Who knows?” |

"A “just someone to think about” When life’s a little scary. There is a place in all of us That’s not quite off the wall But offers up safe harbor if our world’s about to fall." Boy do I know someone like this! Someone to turn to who knows me so well... even better than I know myself at times. And, therein lies a safe place to fall. "Someone....to watch over me....." ~Soft smiles and hugs m'friend~ ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always |

Ken "Have you ever talked with someone That seemed to know your heart?" Yes! "A “just someone to think about” When life’s a little scary." I have a friend like that "But offers up safe harbor if our world’s about to fall." A some kind of wonderful thing to have indeed! Loved this poem! |

of course you know I don't believe in marriage or love right now...maybe in the future, but I believe there is just too much out there to be tied to one person...too many connections to be made...too much to see and do and feel but maybe I'm wrong |

Have you ever talked with someone That seemed to know your heart? my Honey does, and has for a very long time.... even before we fell in love A “just someone to think about” When life’s a little scary. Again, my Honey-love. I reckon I'm hooked on him, huh? Seriously, I think, though, that more folks relate to this if they would let themselves admit it. LOL A good poem, Ken. Hugs, Ethel |

kayjay, an inspired poem, I'd say! Yes, I think there are people who snag onto your heart, understanding what it's made of... I've had this happen with soul mates of both sexes. (I find it tends to pose a problem when of opposite sexes. Sometimes it just doesn't seem right, but understandable.) I enjoyed this very much. May I keep it? |

Nice thoughts, Sir... to think that you are thought of by an unexpected mind... |
