Manet and the Sea Mint julep steams a relentless baroque in time To the weaver’s arms from his mind Invisible stairwells cracking implosions Soft dawning, scented hands of cerulean saline Whispering seascapes, marigold voice of waves Rolling seascapes…millions of fingers Crawling through pronounced waterfalls of color Sculpting taffy…this assailant knows What validates summits of artistic streams of light! Little wooden vehicle floats with imaginative loans, Ambitious Escape of Rochefort, unfinished aquatic groans There…I stood on the edge of some faraway seas Flirting inner steps of voyage, stepping under a marquee Universe of luster, mobile flowing colored airways Cold shadows of sea prayers, twilight blue-green stairways Smoky misted melancholy, deep dark scourge of ships Sinking sterns & lighthouse pencil sketchings Atmospheric canvas, incarcerating a rocky footpath Thawing into the horizon…a sunflower foliage bath Impulsive thoughts of a ballerina…moist pirouetting flows Quiet alliance…rolling performance mushroomed Symphonic silent film…magical secret winds Filling mainsails, pulling in…changing coral hierarchy Clinging natural force alive…surreal mango breathing Painting maneuvering stepping stones into a world of invention Budding entrapments of marine grey-green dimensions Calming curves hoisting, exploding warm musical embrace Sun, horizon and sea floats in a metaphorical grace Where one might fasten slow waves of circadian tempo Encoded differently .by every soul’s maestro Temperate light cycles, a place within this immediate canvas Symposium hailing Belvedere at Boulogne…faceless sodden novas Etching navigator antelopes across a saltwater blue-greenery Sound pantaloons highlight, like a well rounded genie |
