When verdant hopes their essence fills The venerate minds of those with dreams, And beckons valleys dim and rugged rills Spring forth with life and wishful schemes, The echoes of their promise o’erflows The banks of pleasant vales and lofts The heights of pallored walls to rose, Colored with its ached-tint rays so soft And touch the soul in sure awakening Lifting the mind to exalted planes divine. |
