Young boy running by With many colors as bloom, Leaving his dew prints. With days long, still the path goes on, Before dawn, a peaking sun comes, Then boy runs, puffing up the hill, To the crest, and beyond then back The boy walks, bowing with respect, Without talk, Zhan continues on. There was a large gate, That began a path upwards, It was fenceless gate, Marks a path going onwards At the gate now flowers wait Silk dress stepping small Approaches the gateway so slow Zhan waits by gate with no wall No hurry to go. Bowing with a smile Young woman greets politely, Zhan then talks a while, Her eyes down speaks quietly, She then gathers the flowers Holding them in white silk embrace Smells deep of each the colors Immersing her pretty face With a bow he’s gone His travels are yet still long But with the pausing Finds a memory causing An accompanying song Gloom |

and your poetry opens a fenceless gate... You did it again-left me in thought! Being a farmer, fenceless gates are pretty powerful images! Enjoyed the fine imagery here (running lad, hills, walless gates, flowers held in embrace, white silken ) A good day to you, Sadie [This message has been edited by Sadelite (06-02-2004 11:05 AM).] |
